Hazbin Hotel's Showrunner Is Aware of Your Season 2 Bingo Cards — And She Has Positive Updates

The highly-awaited Season 2 of the adult animated musical series Hazbin Hotel arrives on the streaming platform this week, and audience theories has been rampant.

Season 1 introduces a large cast of characters residing in Hell and Heaven, pits them against each other with songs about their clashes, and builds heated competitions and angsty, affectionate connections that fuel fan obsession.

The community's expectations for the new season differ greatly, but certain themes recur frequently: Could a fan-favorite character break free from Valentino? Might we learn more about the mysterious "deal" affecting the enigmatic Alastor? Will [favorite character] and [other character] finally get together?

"Obviously, I don't produce the show with fan service as the main goal," the showrunner commented earlier this year. "However I believe that me being a devotee of the series implies there's a lot of it just inherently. I also am eager for these things, and I hope some of these things to occur, and obviously some of these things are meant to happen in the show!"

The creator reveals her long-term vision is for five seasons of Hazbin Hotel. Future installments have received approval by the production companies, which produce the series.

That could imply fans have to wait years for some of the biggest payoffs — but they could be shocked at how fast season 2 moves, and how much of what they're waiting for happens this season.

"I feel like people are going to be highly satisfied," the creator notes. "There are several debut moments. I think we get some incredible reveals, some really cool backstories, and even basic elements, [like] I hope this character gets a song. […] We're going to hear additional musical numbers from the characters we didn't get to hear before."

The creator is well-informed of the guesses and hopes about the upcoming season — particularly in the format of fan bingo cards.

"I've come across a few fans make a prediction grid about the new season," she mentions. "Naturally I won't share it, but I've already completed some of them, and nearly every one of them have almost a bingo. I thought, Oh, if you put this [event] in this spot, it would be a bingo. So that leads me to believe we do a lot [of what fans are waiting for in this season], because I realized, Oh, there's multiple potential bingos on this card. So that makes me happy."

Hazbin Hotel season 2 premieres on the streaming service on October 29.
